Hi, I’m Grognatou, I love designing ultra-light mini drones. I created the Moineau Frame 2.5p to meet a simple need: making the perfect small FPV quad for beginners.

On standard 5-inch drones, there is plenty of space. But on a 2.5-inch, every gram counts. This guide presents the frame and explains how to achieve a clean build and get the best performance out of it.

My goal with this frame? To allow beginners to get into the FPV hobby hassle-free! That is why, to simplify the assembly, I directly provide the TPU parts and all the hardware. This includes a TPU piece at the back to hold the antennas, as well as the TPU for attaching the battery and the camera.

2. Electronics, Motors, and Propellers.

The golden rule for this build: you need light and sturdy parts! Therefore, choose AIO boards with an integrated receiver

2.1 Motors

Size 1103, between 6500KV and 11000KV

2.2 VTX, Cameras, and AIO

• Analog AIO: Ysido AIO (5g, ESC 12-20A) with Baby Ratel 2 or BetaFPV C03 to save weight.
• Digital / HD AIO: jemcu ghf435 or F411 elrs
• Digital VTX: DJI O4 lite (8.5g), Walksnail Avatar HD Mini (5.1g) or HDZero AIO15.

2.3 Propellers

For the Moineau, I recommend the Emax Avan 2.5 : they are quiet and durable.

A pro tip: you must screw your propellers on instead of simply press-fitting them. This is essential to eliminate parasitic vibrations and obtain the cleanest possible blackbox log, and therefore a drone that flies well without effort.
